David Dersch Promoted to Lt. Colonel

Greenville, S.C. (November 22, 2013) – David Dersch, Jr., of Prattville, Ala., was recently promoted to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force. Dersch serves as a Reserve Air Force Chaplain.

Dersch earned a BA and an MA in Bible from Bob Jones University in 1984 and 1985 respectively. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Liberty Baptist Seminary in 2003.

The Air Force also honored Dersch with the Thielen Award as the Outstanding Air Force Reserve Chaplain for 2012. He has recently been assigned to Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Ga. and will serve as Chaplain Consultant to the Air Force Reserve Yellow Ribbon Program.
