GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 10, 2023) – Adrian Lasval, a senior criminal justice major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with Ocean City Police Department in Ocean City, Maryland.
A resident of Fort Lee, New Jersey, Lasval completed an accelerated police academy and was sworn in as a probationary police officer in Maryland. My internship responsibilities include enforcing all civil and criminal laws within Ocean City.
“This internship is extremely valuable because I get hands-on police experience without the full-time commitment. It gives me the ability to experience the career in a way no other internship can,” said Lasval. “This is the only internship program in the nation for criminal justice where I am a sworn police officer with a gun and badge doing the actual job.”
