Bob Jones University will hold its annual Nurses Pinning Ceremony Thursday, May 7, in Rodeheaver Auditorium at 2 p.m.

Thirty students will be pinned during the May ceremony. An additional seven nursing students were pinned Dec. 18, 2025, following the conclusion of the fall semester.

Anna Cathers, RN, BSN (’18), a BJU nursing graduate and current clinical instructor, will serve as the keynote speaker. Jordan White, president of the University Nurse Association, will also participate in the ceremony and is scheduled to speak at the University’s commencement exercises.

“Preceptors have recognized this class for their hard work and Christlike attitudes,” said Dr. Megan Lanpher, Division of Nursing chair. “Several have received job offers as a result of their efforts during their final clinical practicum, and many others have also already become employed. We can’t wait to see how their testimony continues to impact coworkers and patients moving forward.”

Bob Jones University’s first nursing pinning ceremony was held in 1982, the inaugural year of the University’s nursing program. In 2023, the University began holding a pinning ceremony for December graduates at the conclusion of the fall semester. More than 1,500 nursing students have graduated from Bob Jones University since the program’s inception.

The Bob Jones University nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an independent organization dedicated to ensuring high standards, overall quality and continuous improvement of baccalaureate, graduate and residency nursing programs in the United States.
