GREENVILLE, S.C. (November 23, 2020) – Shaelyn Garcia, a senior music education major at Bob Jones University, serves as an intern with the Greenville Youth Chorale in Greenville, South Carolina.
Garcia, a resident of Rochester, works with the organization’s staff to provide high-quality music education to students from diverse racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
“Although I have only been working with Greenville Youth Chorale (GYC) for a few weeks, I feel I’ve been completely immersed in the program and welcomed by the faculty, staff, parents, and children,” said Garcia. “The work GYC has done to bring the children of the Greenville community together through music is absolutely inspiring.”
