BJU to Hold 97th Commencement

GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 25, 2024) – Over 650 students will receive degrees at the 97th annual commencement of Bob Jones University Friday, May 3. The two-hour program begins at 2 p.m. in BJU’s Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium (FMA). The service will be webcast.

“We are excited to see the Class of 2024 reach this milestone. They have learned much about God, grown in love and developed their leadership abilities,” said Dr. Alan Benson, BJU Acting CEO. “We look forward to celebrating their achievements with their friends and families. We thank God for His work in their lives and send them out with our prayers and blessings.”

In addition to 523 students receiving bachelor’s degrees, 97 students will receive master’s degrees and 58 will receive associate degrees. Five candidates will receive earned doctoral degrees.

The main Amphitorium doors will open at 1 p.m., and guests are expected to be seated by 1:45 p.m. Tickets are not required. Guests seated in wheelchairs are to enter the tower doors for Aisle 3 (opposite the Student Post Office) or Aisle 11 (opposite Rodeheaver Auditorium). Parking will be available in the parking garage, Wade Hampton Mall lot and various smaller lots on campus.
