GREENVILLE, S.C. (October 4, 2016) – Bob Jones University is hosting the second of a three-part forum series on “Balancing Piety and Pragmatism: Evangelicals and Politics” Thursday, Oct. 13, where panelists will examine the role of evangelicals and politics today. The 90-minute forum begins at 7 p.m. in Stratton Hall on the BJU campus.

“The first forum explored the role of evangelicals in politics from the perspective of the past,” said Dr. Gary Weier, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at BJU. “This forum will offer opportunity for interesting discussion as we focus on the present and our unusual political season.”

Panelists for the Oct. 13 forum are Mrs. Linda Abrams, Associate Professor of Political Science at BJU; Dr. Charles Dunn, former Dean at the Robertson School of Government at Regent University, former Dean of International Studies and Calderwood School of Arts and Letters at Grove City College, and former Political Science Department Head and Thurmond Professor of Political Science at Clemson University; Dr. Lincoln Mullen, Assistant Professor in the Department of History and Art History at George Mason University; and Dr. Danielle Vinson, Professor of Political Science at Furman University.

The event is free and open to the public; however, pre-registration through Eventbrite is needed for admission to the event.
