GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 25, 2017) – Kenneth Burkholder, a sophomore engineering major at Bob Jones University, interns this summer for DiversiTech Corporation located in Covington, Georgia.
Burkholder, a resident of Loganville, Georgia, serves in the manufacturing and quality engineering department. Some of his responsibilities include increasing plant efficiency, collecting and analyzing data, and observing and recording procedures such as machine startup. He is also developing spreadsheets to streamline downtime and production tracking and conducting process studies to determine machine cycle time and cost per unit.
“My work this summer has helped me to better understand the production process and has given me insight into the engineering that makes that process possible,” says Burkholder.
