GREENVILLE, S.C. (December 18, 2019) – Karis Lehman, a senior music education major at Bob Jones University, serves as a student teacher at Mauldin High School in Mauldin, South Carolina.

Lehman, a resident of Shannon, Illinois, teaches students in a variety of musical disciplines from marching band to concert preparation. The hands-on experience of conducting rehearsals, grading student work and working with the percussion ensemble has allowed her to employ classroom strategies in a successful high school band program setting.

“The instructors at MHS are passionate about what they do. Their commitment to the students as well as their dedication to equipping the next generation of teachers has confirmed my decision to enter music education,” said Lehman. “My experience at MHS has been invaluable as I prepare to enter the workforce.”
