GREENVILLE, S.C. (December 7, 2016) – Julio ‘Cesar’ Whatley, a sophomore computer science major at Bob Jones University, serves as an intern for BMW located in Greer, South Carolina.

Whatley, a resident of Cusco, Peru, serves as a software engineer intern. Whatley’s main responsibilities include debugging, updating, and maintaining the Desktop application LR Programming Tools. Whatley is also gaining experience by writing computer code and designing software.

“BJU has prepared me very well for the job environment, but I have realized that real world development is much harder than a university project development,” says Whatley. “I believe that having an internship experience that is related to your major is really important because that is where you will realize if you are willing to do that work for the rest of your life. In the long run, I believe that my internship experience will give me more validity when I strive to get a full time professional job.”
