Nicholas Weist, a senior Cybersecurity major from Chetek, Wisconsin, spent the summer interning with IT Operations at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.
During his internship, Weist reviewed and resolved phishing emails, created change requests for additional cybersecurity measures, wrote security and audit reports, audited and updated network switches, migrated Linux servers to newer operating systems, and reviewed Windows endpoints through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to ensure security compliance.
“I have found my internship at Bob Jones University to be a fabulous and eye-opening experience,” said Weist. “My time as an intern in IT Operations has been incredibly diverse and has given me practical skills and experience to take with me into future endeavors.”
