The Community Service Council (CSC) at Bob Jones University will host its semi-annual Blood Connection Drive Thursday, October 8, from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Friday, October 9, from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Blood Connection buses will be located in front of Rodeheaver Auditorium.
The CSC’s mission is to organize service projects in the Greenville community and to connect students and student organizations to service opportunities.
“The Community Service Council is excited to host this year’s blood drive and give students an opportunity to make a real difference,” says Tyler Sherman, Community Service Council director. “Donating blood is a simple way to serve others and can have a meaningful impact on someone in need. We encourage students to participate if they are able, and we hope to see our campus come together as we serve our community!”
Students, alumni and members of the public interested in donating blood are encouraged to eat iron-rich foods (i.e. meats, spinach, and broccoli), drink plenty of water, and eat a good meal the day they donate.
All donors will receive a $40 e-gift card. Donors are encouraged to sign up for an appointment using the code 3ABT.
