Holli Carter, a rising senior interior architecture and design major from Raleigh, North Carolina, is spending her summer interning with Carolynleona, a residential interior design firm in her hometown.
During the internship, Carter assists with a variety of responsibilities that support the design process, including organizing the studio, taking notes during site visits, coordinating sample pickups, running errands for her supervisor and helping select materials for client presentations. These experiences have provided valuable hands-on exposure to many aspects of residential interior design.
“The internship has greatly shaped me as a designer while strengthening my communication, organization, and creativity skills,” Carter said.
