Fine Arts Calendar – October 28 – November 2

Monday, October 28, 5:00 p.m., Stratton Hall

Danielle Duncan, piano, will present her senior recital. She will perform works composed by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Scriabin.

Wednesday, October 30, 5:00 p.m., War Memorial Chapel

The Collegiate Choir will present a program of choral music that explores the ubiquitous God-ordained beauty found in the moments of time and in the events that make up the tapestry of daily life–Dawn, Day, and Dusk. The program’s repertoire includes “Sure on This Shining Night” by Morten Lauridsen and “Be Thou My Vision” by John Rutter.

Wednesday, October 30, 5:00 p.m., Fine Arts 224

Alex Wright, saxophone, will present his junior recital.

Thursday, October 31, 5:00 p.m., War Memorial Chapel

Tara Solomon, voice, and Ivan Carey, voice, will present their senior recitals. Tara will perform works composed by Bach, Scarlatti, Fauré and Beach. Ivan will perform works composed or arranged by Purcell, Beethoven, Schumann, Donizetti, Finzi, and Hogan.

Friday, November 1, 5:00 p.m., War Memorial Chapel

The Concert Choir will present a fall concert featuring sacred works, songs from the civil war, and barbershop and folk songs.

Saturday, November 2, 1:00 p.m., War Memorial Chapel

Nathan Phillips, trombone, and Wayne Fitzgerald, bass trombone, will present their senior recitals.  Nathan will perform works composed by Forrest, Sparke, Larsson, and LoPresti. Wayne will perform works composed by Williams, Lassen, Carr, Frank, and LoPresti.

Saturday, November 2, 3:00 p.m., War Memorial Chapel

Robyn Mortland, piano, will present her senior recital. She will perform works composed by Beethoven, Mompou, and Rachmaninoff.

Saturday, November 2, 5:00 p.m., War Memorial Chapel

Tan Viriyothai, violin, will present his graduate recital. He will perform works composed by Mozart, Klein, Doane, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, and Dhamabutra.
