Bob Jones University to Host President of Hobby Lobby

Greenville, SC (February 15, 2013) – Bob Jones University (BJU) is pleased to announce that Steve Green, President of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., will share the remarkable Hobby Lobby story on Monday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium (FMA) on the Bob Jones University campus. Members of the community are encouraged to join the university family for this special evening.

BJU President Stephen Jones said, “We are delighted to host Steve Green on our campus. As a Christian businessman, he has a compelling story to tell our students and the greater Greenville community about the success of Hobby Lobby.”

Hobby Lobby is the largest privately owned arts and crafts retailer in the world. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Hobby Lobby employs approximately 20,000 people companywide and operates approximately 520 stores in 42 states. Hobby Lobby sales for 2012 totaled more than $3 billion.

During his address, Green will also highlight the traveling exhibit of biblical antiquities known as Passages. Passages contains 400 items from The Green Collection, comprised of over 40,000 biblical antiquities, and is among the world’s newest and largest private collections of rare biblical texts and artifacts. Passages is currently on exhibit through March 30th at 8405 IBM Drive in Charlotte, NC. Information and coupons to attend the exhibit will be available at the event.

Steve Green’s address is free and open to the public. Doors to the FMA will open at 6:30 p.m. Parking is available in the parking garage located directly behind Rodeheaver Auditorium as well as on-street parking.
