Bob Jones University will host the annual Officer Allen Jacobs Memorial Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, March 12, honoring the memory of Officer Allen Jacobs, Greenville Police Department, and other Greenville County officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. in the Davis Room of the Dixon-McKenzie Dining Common on the BJU campus.

Jane Robelot, WYFF 4 anchor, will serve as emcee for the program. A highlight of the morning will be remarks from Greenville Mayor Knox White, whose long-standing support for law enforcement and public safety underscores the significance of this annual gathering.
“We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to honor Officer Allen Jacobs—whose parents served for many years on the BJU faculty—and to remember his extraordinary legacy of courage and service,” said Courtney Montgomery, BJU Public Relations director. “As we reflect on the 10th anniversary of his passing, we also honor the memory of all those in Greenville County who have given their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice strengthens our resolve to support the men and women who continue to serve and protect our community each day, and we pray for their safety, wisdom and endurance.”
Due to the generous support of businesses and community leaders, the breakfast is offered at no cost to law enforcement personnel. This year’s sponsors include BJU, Mackey Funerals and Cremations, and the Greenville Police Department, along with table sponsors Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union, Christophillis & Gallivan, P.A., Robert Castellani, Pepsi of Greenville and Drs. Mike and Sharon Wilkie.
Proceeds from the event support the Allen Jacobs Memorial Scholarship Fund, established at the request of the Jacobs family to assist senior BJU students majoring in criminal justice. Each year, graduating senior criminal justice students selected for this honor receive their scholarship during Commencement week.
