GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 2, 2016) – In a recent ranking published by Christian Universities Online (CUO), Bob Jones University ranked as the third most affordable Christian college/university in the United States – up from fifth in 2015.

According to CUO, the ranking includes schools that are a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) or able to be considered member eligible. CUO then ranked each of the schools according to “net price” tuition data collected from the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES).  According to NCES, “net price” is defined as “subtracting the average amount of federal, state/local government, or institutional grant or scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance.  Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees, books and supplies, and the weighted average for room and board and other expenses.”

A goal of the ranking is to both highlight schools open to grant and scholarship funding as well as schools that work to keep overall costs as low as possible.

“BJU is pleased to be recognized as one of the most affordable Christian colleges in the country,” says BJU President Steve Pettit. “Keeping our top-notch liberal arts education, infused with a biblical worldview, affordable is a continual priority.”
