Abigail Lewis Serves as Student Teacher at Woodland Elementary

GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 13, 2017) – Abigail Lewis, a senior early childhood education major at Bob Jones University, serves as a student teacher this semester at Woodland Elementary School in Greenville.

Lewis, a resident of Diamond, Missouri, teaches 26 kindergartners in every school subject including calendar math, writing, early reading intervention, guided reading, social studies, science, shared reaching and math. Some of her responsibilities including creating and administering lesson plans and managing the classroom.

“I am very grateful for this experience,” says Lewis. “Through the observations of my clinical practice supervisor and my mentor teacher, I am responsible to prove that I am capable of meeting all ADEPT performance standards as detailed by the state of South Carolina in order to receive licensure.”
