Greenville, S.C. (October 14, 2013) – Abigail Stanley, a senior journalism and mass communication major at Bob Jones University, finished first in the women’s 5000 meter run at the TFC Eagle Invitational held at Toccoa Falls College Oct. 12.
Stanley, a resident of Three Springs, Pa., and the captain of the BJU Bruins women’s cross country team, finished first in the 5000 meter run with a time of 20:39. This is Stanley’s first blue ribbon finish this season. In the two previous meets, Stanley finished third.
The BJU Bruins women’s cross country team placed second in the invitational, narrowly missing first place by 3 points.
