Tyler Sherman, a senior business administration and biblical counseling major from Greenville, South Carolina, completed a summer internship with Lightwell Insurance Advisors in Greenville, South Carolina.
During the internship, Sherman assisted with insurance summaries, organized resources, shadowed team leaders, and participated in meetings with churches to better understand their insurance needs. Through these experiences, he learned how insurance helps ministries protect what God has entrusted to them and continue serving their communities effectively.
Reflecting on the experience, Sherman said, “My internship with Lightwell taught me that meaningful work is not just about what you do, but why you do it. While I gained valuable knowledge about insurance and business operations, the greatest lesson was seeing how a company can serve God and others by supporting churches and ministries. This experience helped me think more intentionally about how I can use my future career to glorify God and make a lasting impact.”
