Caeleigh Wood, a senior business administration major from Taylors, South Carolina, gained hands-on professional experience during an internship with PF Flyers in Greenville, South Carolina.
PF Flyers is a Greenville-based aviation company where students can gain practical exposure to daily flight and hangar operations.
Wood worked in a variety of roles throughout the internship, including serving at the front desk, answering phone calls and scheduling meetings. She also attended meetings, assisted with media production by shooting videos and photos around the hangar and worked alongside the mechanics on the aircraft. In addition, Wood had the opportunity to taxi several of the planes, providing her with firsthand operational experience.
“PF Flyers displayed for me the proper God-honoring employer-employee relationship that should be found in a workplace,” said Wood. “They taught me that respect, accountability and ownership are key parts to a cohesive workplace, and that striving for excellence with others who are doing the same is how to build lifelong friendships.”
