The parade of states driving onto the BJU campus began shortly after sunrise Saturday, Aug. 21, delivering Class of 2025 students eager to select the choicest bunk in their residence hall room, establish fast friendships with roommates and check off the check-in items.

Smiling faces and outstretched arms for hauling personal items up staircases greeted families, with faculty/staff members giving understanding nods and encouraging words to parents. A similar scene was repeated Aug. 22 for the waves of sophomores, juniors and seniors.

New students for the fall semester come from 20 countries, 45 states and three United States territories. BJU begins 95th academic year Aug. 23 with opening exercises at 7 p.m. in Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium. The event will be webcast. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the University’s moving to Greenville from Cleveland, Tennessee.

Classes begin Aug. 25. Evangelistic meetings, with BJU President Steve Pettit speaking, will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 24 and 25 in FMA and will be webcast.
