On Feb. 14 — Valentine’s Day — BJU alumni will be reconnecting to share romantic stories and friendly laughs over relationships that began at the University through BJU Alumni Relations’ new podcast, “Roommates, Dates & Offering Plates.”

Jeremiah Dew, a 2007 BJU graduate, will co-host the podcast with Holly Stratton, a 1982 graduate. They will interview other alumni for 12 episodes that will release Mondays every other week until late July.

Dew said the response from alumni has already been overwhelmingly positive, with several reaching out to him either to share their own stories or ask where they can stream the show. In fact, BJU Alumni Relations and Dew are already planning for a second season, projected for August, to give more alumni the chance to reconnect and reminisce.

Dew said the experience has been filled with genuine laughs.

“I have enjoyed the stories of the near misses and the flubs, mostly from the guys, on how they approached their now-wives back when they were 18 years old. … One of the couples got engaged over a bucket of KFC.”

The podcast is available for free on Google Play, iTunes and Spotify.
