Greenville, SC (January 3, 2013) – Jordan Allen, a junior Bible major from Matthews, N.C., was named to the National Christian College Athletic Association’s (NCCAA) Academic All American team.

“Jordan is an effective leader – both on the soccer field and in the classroom,” said Jesse McCormick, Bruins men’s soccer coach. “I appreciate his leadership and commitment to excellence and I’m pleased the NCCAA recognized him for his efforts.”

Allen is one of a select few student-athletes from across the country to be honored as an Academic All American. He is a midfielder and captain on the Bob Jones University Bruins men’s soccer team. To qualify for this award, he had to maintain a 3.5 GPA.

As a Division I university in the NCCAA, BJU Bruins compete in soccer and basketball. Beginning in the fall of the 2013-2014 academic year, the Bruins will also compete in cross country.
