GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 12, 2024) – Bob Jones University is hosting National Basketball Association (NBA) player Micah Potter Monday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium on the BJU campus.
Potter, a center for the Utah Jazz of the NBA, will share how his testimony and faith have impacted his career in sports. This summer, Potter was a USA Basketball Men’s Select Team member. The select team serves as the training team for the USA Basketball Men’s Team for international and Olympic competitions.
Additionally, BJU President Josh Crockett will host a Q&A. After chapel, Potter, and his wife, Elle, a former NCAA Division I volleyball player, will meet with the BJU Bruins athletes.
“It’s a privilege to host the Potters at BJU,” said Crockett. “The goal of intercollegiate athletics at BJU is to prepare our student-athletes to utilize the platform of sport for the glory of God. We know our students will be inspired by Micah’s reliance on faith during his journey from college athlete to playing alongside America’s gold-medal-winning national team.”
