GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 9, 2023) – Several Bob Jones University graphic design students received awards from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Greenville Chapter at the annual AAF Gala Saturday, Mar. 4.

The American Advertising Awards, a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation, is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for both professional and student creative excellence.

BJU students receiving 2023 AAF awards include:

Melia Covington (senior from Landrum, South Carolina): Silver Award in Online Campaign

Alicia DeMott (senior from Roanoke, Virginia): Silver Award in Illustrated Collateral, Silver Award in Out-of-Home Campaign

Lauren McCaffery (junior from Flower Mound, Texas): Silver Award in Integrated Brand Campaign

Alexander Rouse (junior from Greenville): Silver Award in Identity Campaign, Silver Award in Special Event Collateral

“It is encouraging and exciting to see BJU students compete so favorably in our local market. Many Greenville agencies view these award winners as the up-and-coming talent and look to them as potential new hires,” said Jay Bopp, Division of Art + Design chair. “Participating in the American Advertising Awards has proven to be a powerful networking tool for our students!”
