2013 Bob Jones University Vintage Yearbook Dedicated to Beneth Jones

Greenville, S.C. (April 30, 2013) – The Bob Jones University (BJU) Vintage staff announced today the 2013 yearbook has been dedicated to Beneth Jones, who has impacted countless people as a teacher, actress, director and author during her 54 years of service at BJU.

Jones earned a BA in speech interpretation in 1959 and completed an MA in 1961 both from BJU.  She married Dr. Bob Jones III, the university’s current chancellor, in December 1959, and is a role model for students and women around the world.

Drawing from personal experience and years of Bible study, Jones regularly speaks at women’s conferences, inspiring women in their diverse avenues of ministry and counseling those who are hurting.

An accomplished actor, Jones has performed in a number of roles with BJU Classic Players, including Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Roxane in Cyrano de Bergerac and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.  She has also directed and designed costumes for a number of Classic Player productions.

She may be best known for the thirteen books she authored that employ humor and down-to-earth illustrations to exhort the reader to be faithful and godly.
