Greenville, S.C. (September 23, 2013) – Carol Abrams, a 1989 graduate of Bob Jones University, was named 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year for Wilson County Schools.
Abrams, a resident of Wilson, N.C., has been a classroom teacher for the past 24 years. Throughout her career, she has taught at each grade level from K – 12. She currently teaches at Wells Elementary School.
Abrams received a number of prizes including $500 from both Wilson County Schools and Wilson Education Partnership. She also received a one-year lease on a Honda vehicle from a local Honda dealership and $1,000 from Wells Fargo for use in her classroom.
Abrams will go on to represent Wilson County Schools during regional competition.
