GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 29, 2016) – Rachael Wallace, a senior early childhood education major at Bob Jones University, serves as a student teacher for Thomas E. Kerns Elementary School in Greenville, South Carolina.
Wallace, a resident of Kingston, Tennessee, is gaining hands-on experience with grading, leading classroom routines, and teaching a variety of subjects.
“This internship was a benefit to me personally as I experienced first-hand what I learned in the college classroom,” said Wallace. “There are only so many things that you can learn in the classroom; the rest comes when you are in the field, taking what was just a concept and putting it into action. This is internship really taught me what it means to be an educator.”
