Sharmaine Branzuela, a senior Business Administration major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with the BJU Women’s Volleyball Team in Greenville, SC.

A resident of Roebuck, SC, Branzuela manages the equipment, creates content for the team’s social media, records game statistics, and prepares travel reports.

“This internship has been incredibly helpful in showing me the behind the scenes of college athletics,” said Branzuela. “I’ve gained hands-on experience in so many areas. It’s been rewarding to experience firsthand what our athletes do and to feel an even stronger connection to the Bruins community.”

During her internship with the BJU Women’s Volleyball Team, Branzuela is gaining comprehensive, hands-on experience in athletic program operations. Through these responsibilities, she is learning how a collegiate athletic program functions while developing organizational, communication, and leadership skills that will serve her in her future career.

The Business Administration program at Bob Jones University provides students with a strong foundation in business principles through a biblical worldview. Students can choose concentrations such as Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or Data Analytics to tailor their education to career goals. The program emphasizes practical application through case studies, simulations, and hands-on experiences, preparing graduates for leadership roles in management, finance, small business, nonprofit organizations, and other sectors.
