Marshall Franklin Named To Greenville Area Development Corporation Board

Greenville, S. C. (May 29, 2013) The Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) announced in late May the appointment of Marshall Franklin, the Chief Operations Officer at Bob Jones University, to an inaugural three-year term on the GADC Board.

Prior to his service as COO, Marshall had a distinguished 24-year career with Ernst & Young, an international accounting and consulting firm, where he served both domestic and international clients from offices in France, England, and the Southeastern United States.  Mr. Franklin holds a BS in Professional Accounting from BJU, and is widely recognized as a strong consensus builder who is keenly aware of international business issues and opportunities, having conducted business in 37 countries. He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Wilds, a Christian camp located in Brevard, N.C.

GADC is a non-profit organization established by Greenville County Council to promote and enhance the economic growth and development of Greenville County.  Since its founding in 2001, GADC efforts have resulted in the creation of more than 16,000 new jobs and more than $2.8 billion in capital investment in Greenville County, S.C.
