GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 13, 2018) – Jordan Gillespie, a senior biology major at Bob Jones University, serves this summer at Penn Vet Working Dog Center located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The center serves as a national research and development center for detection dogs used to prevent crime, rescue victims and detect medical conditions.

Gillespie, a resident of Simpsonville, assists in training the dogs at the center along with helping conduct research for several different studies.

“This internship is very valuable to me in that it gives me the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the working dog field, specifically in giving me research experience that will be extremely helpful for graduate school applications,” said Gillespie.
