GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 29, 2019) – Thawnpi Kham, a senior Christian ministries major at Bob Jones University, serves as an intern at Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Kham, a resident of Myanmar, is interning with the pastoral staff. In this capacity, he helps plan summer ministry activities, teaches and preaches in services, accompanies the church youth on a mission trip and serves as a summer camp counselor.
“I love and treasure this internship program because it helps me exercise what I learn theoretically at school in an experiential way. I see and feel what ministry looks like in real life. I am learning how a community of believers operate day-in and day-out,” Kham said. “I have the opportunity to preach in a congregational setting. My passion for ministry has grown because of this internship program. This is the best way to help me prepare for my future ministry.”
