Maria Gonzalez Pineyro, a senior business administration major at Bob Jones University from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is serving as a Talent and Development Intern in the Human Resources Department at Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) in Greenville, South Carolina.
In her role, Gonzalez Pineyro assists with the creation of employee development programs, attends meetings and training sessions, designs advertisements to promote professional growth initiatives, and supports the development of onboarding programs for new hires.
“This internship has been an amazing opportunity that God has given me to learn about an industry that serves our community, learn about the values that represent a company, and meet professional individuals,” said Gonzalez Pineyro. “It has helped me grow as a person and professionally, as I plan to go into the HR field.”
This internship offers Gonzalez Pineyro firsthand experience in employee engagement and organizational development within a mission-driven utility company. Her work is contributing to the overall success of ReWa’s workforce while equipping her with essential skills for a future career in human resources.
