GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 5, 2018) – Alex Viscioni will serve as an instructor in the Communications Studies department in the School of Fine Arts and Communication at Bob Jones University this fall. Viscioni previously served as an admission counselor in the Office of Admission.

“Alex’s passion for acting and ability to connect with students have grown over the years,” said Dr. Darren Lawson, dean of BJU’s School of Fine Arts and Communication. “His dedication to his craft will serve him well in this new role.”

Viscioni earned a BA in History (2014) and a MA in Communication Studies (2017).

In addition to his work in the Admission Office, Viscioni also taught Communications 101 classes as a graduate assistant. In 2016, he was awarded the Mary E. Jarrard Award which is presented to an outstanding undergraduate and graduate student paper submitted to the Carolinas Communication Association (CCA) Conference each year.

Viscioni has self-published two novels and is currently working on a third volume.

He is a member of Grace Bible Church in Moore, South Carolina where he teaches third through fifth grade children’s church.

“I hope to not only teach my students how to be effective communicators for their future careers and for the sake of the Gospel, but I pray that I can be of help to anyone who needs it,” said Viscioni. “The faculty made such an impact on my life when I was a student, and I hope to be the same for the current generation of students.”
