GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 2, 2017) – Timothy Shalala, a sophomore Bible major at Bob Jones University, serves this summer as an intern for Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Smithville, Ohio.
Shalala, a resident of Norton, Ohio, will serve as the youth outreach coordinator. His responsibilities include planning, presenting, and delegating specific community outreaches for both the junior and senior high groups as well as leading Bible studies and small group meetings.
“I think the most exciting thing about this summer is the opportunity to give back to my church,” said Shalala. “Growing up, I was always on the receiving end of church, but this summer I will have the opportunity to invest in my church family as well as the surrounding community.”
