GREENVILLE, S.C. (November 1, 2021) – Suzanna Thompson, a senior health sciences major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with the Greenville Homeless Alliance (GHA) in Greenville, South Carolina.
A resident of Taylors, Thompson is helping to conduct a fundraising/partnership campaign to raise support for GHA. This project includes sending weekly surveys to current partners, delivering donor gifts and writing a summary about healthcare for the homeless.
“Working with the Greenville Homeless Alliance has not only given me a way to apply my field of study in an area where there is a very real need, but it has also shown me how little I know of the world around me,” said Thompson. “It has motivated me to become a listener and ask hard questions, and has inspired me to learn as much as I can about practical ways I can help people with specific needs.”
