GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 11, 2017) – Three incoming Bob Jones University freshmen were recently named as recipients of the BJU Admission Scholarship and were awarded one semester of tuition in addition to other financial aid already awarded.

“The BJU Office of Admission seeks to recruit and enroll students who desire a biblically faithful liberal arts Christian higher education, and who have a strong likelihood of success both as a BJU student and in their career as a graduate,” said Gary Deedrick, Director of Admission. “These students have distinguished themselves in school (both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities), in church, and in their community involvement, and we look forward to having them as part of the BJU student body.”

The three students receiving the scholarship this fall are Rachel Lykins, a resident of Huntington, West Virginia, majoring in communication; Jennifer, Naas, a resident of Waynesboro, Georgia, majoring in piano pedagogy; and Lingkai Chen, a current resident of West Seneca, New York, majoring in engineering.

Admitted students who confirmed their fall semester reservation by May 1 were considered for the scholarship. Other considerations included financial need, academic merit, and extra-curricular accomplishments.
