GREENVILLE, S.C. (October 20, 2017) – Stephen Hughes, a post-graduate pre-med major at Bob Jones University, serves as an intern for Greenville Health System (GHS) in Greenville.
Hughes, a resident of Greenville, is serving in the GHS Hospitals by assisting residents across multiple departments. Hughes is also gaining hands-on experience by shadowing and working with physicians as they diagnose and treat patients.
“This internship has really made the medical field come alive for me,” says Hughes. “I’ve been able to put the books down and observe how actual medical practice plays out in the clinical setting. It has been a privilege to work with experience physicians who are gifted at teaching students and observers.”
