GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 25, 2016) – Tim Stanley, a 1980 graduate of Bob Jones University and member of the BJU Board of Trustrees, has been elected as President and Chief Executive Officer of MidCountry Financial Corp. (MCFC), which is headquartered in Macon, Georgia. Stanley assumes the position from Robert F. Hatcher, who founded and led the organization since 2002.
Stanley, a resident of Greenville, has been with MCFC since 2003, serving most recently as Chief Operating Officer of MCFC and Chief Executive Officer of Heights Finance Corporation, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Pioneer Financial Services, Inc. His areas of responsibility at MCFC have included oversight of operations, legal, information technology, and human resources functions, as well as numerous other corporate-wide initiatives. Stanley is also a member of the boards of directors of MCFC and MidCountry Bank.

Stanley has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to joining MCFC, he was with Wells Fargo Financial for more than two decades, serving in a variety of positions including branch operations, client services and technology, as well as Senior Vice President of the Information Services Group and Corporate Vice President of Global Learning and Development. He is a current Director and former Chairman of the American Financial Services Association (AFSA) Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and former two-term Independent’s Section Chair. Stanley is a recipient of AFSA’s Outstanding Independent of the Year Award as well as AFSA’s Distinguished Service Award, the consumer finance industry’s highest honor. He has also been honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the BJU Alumni Association.
