GREENVILLE, S.C. (October 19, 2021) – Sophia Vincent, a senior health sciences major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with Maple Brook Terrace Retirement Community in Greenville.
A resident of Batavia, Ohio, Vincent shadows various managers at Maple Brook in their departments—management, business office, life enrichment, housekeeping and cooking. At the start of her internship, she prepared and assisted with helping with the grand opening event. She also works to build relationships with the residents.
“I have learned much during this internship about what goes on behind the scenes in healthcare administration and what it takes to run an organization,” said Vincent. “It has been so neat to practice all the things that I have been learning throughout my college years and gain practical knowledge and experience. I am very thankful for Carol, the executive director at Maple Brook, and how she has mentored, stretched and helped me to grow.”
