GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 21, 2022) – Savannah Corneliussen, a junior educational studies major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with a YMCA program at Concrete Primary School in Powdersville, South Carolina.
A resident of Piedmont, Corneliussen facilitates an afterschool program for several groups of children in K-4 through second grades. The internship includes planning daily activities and exercises.
“My internship has helped me in that it has helped improve my leadership skills, pushed me to think outside the box and helped me to develop better communication skills,” said Corneliussen. “Academically it aligns wonderfully with my major and has allowed me to put what I have learned and am currently learning into use. I see how what I am learning in my internship will help in my future career.”
