GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 25, 2020) – Sarai Patino, a senior music education major at Bob Jones University, serves as an intern at Mauldin Middle School in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
Patino, a resident of Greenbrier, Tennessee, is student-teaching under the supervision of her mentor teacher. She is responsible for three choirs, two music and drama classes, and a men’s ensemble. In addition, she works with the Cafe Players, an after-school program for aspiring actors.
“I am thoroughly enjoying my clinical practice experience,” said Patino. “It is providing me with a solid foundation, appreciation, and knowledge of what teaching music looks like in a public school setting.”
