GREENVILLE, S.C. (October 30, 2017) – Sarah Longacre, a senior English education major at Bob Jones University, serves as a student teacher this semester at Mauldin High School in Mauldin, South Carolina.
Longacre, a resident of Hallstead, Pennsylvania, is gaining hands-on experience by teaching over 170 high school students. Her responsibilities include creating lesson plans, teaching, writing tests and quizzes, grading assignments, and managing the classroom.
“My student teaching experience at Mauldin High has been crucial to my education,” says Longacre. “Teaching high school students with diverse needs and backgrounds has greatly developed my skills as an educator.”
