GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 15, 2019) – Rebecca McClurg, a senior fashion design major at Bob Jones University, serves as an intern with The Younts Center for the Performing Arts in Fountain Inn, South Carolina.
McClurg, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, works directly with the costume designer to produce garments for an upcoming production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
“This internship is valuable for expanding my experience in the sewing industry. During my junior year, I was hired by a pageant and bridal gown designer which helped me learn how the custom garment industry works,” said McClurg. “This internship with a costume designer will help broaden my knowledge of the sewing industry as I get to experience and compare the differences between ready-to-wear, custom design, and costume creation.”
