GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 24, 2019) – Rachel Westphal, a senior premed major at Bob Jones University, serves as a summer research assistant at BJU’s Cancer Research Lab in Greenville.
A resident of Midland, Michigan, Westphal is responsible for designing and performing experiments exploring the effects of almonds on cancer cell lines.
“This internship is a great opportunity for us to experience the practicalities of research first hand as well as to study a truly fascinating area within biology,” said Westphal. “I am incredibly excited for what we will learn this summer, both about how to conduct research well and this specific area of study.”
