GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 27, 2020) – Miles Scarboro, a senior biblical counseling major at Bob Jones University, serves as an intern with Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Scarboro, a resident of Fayetteville, preaches in youth and adult services, organizes and administrates Vacation Bible School and will be attending camp as a sponsor. His responsibilities include managing the audio/visual system during church services and general building maintenance.

“This internship with Berean Baptist Church has taught me the value of a work ethic, the importance of perseverance and the role of God in ministry. Oftentimes, I become so consumed with finding the spotlight and indulging in my own accomplishments. During this internship, I have learned ‘the whole duty of man’ is to glorify God,” says Scarboro. “Ministry has an integral and special role in that process. In addition, I have seen my relationships with peers, elders, and kids grow immensely. Although relationships are messy, God has used them in truly miraculous ways. I am honored to be a part of such a Christ-centered, loving ministry.”
