GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 7, 2017) – Michael Pettit, a senior biology major at Bob Jones University, serves this summer as an intern for the Research Immersion for Undergraduates (RIU) program as a part of the Bob Jones University Cancer Research Lab in Greenville, South Carolina.

Pettit, a resident of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, will be conducting cancer research using beaded lizard venom as a potential means of treatment.

“It’s a privilege to be able to do cancer research at BJU for a second summer in a row,” says Pettit. “This opportunity provides invaluable insight in lab technique and understanding in the realm of cancer biology.”
