Micah Rea Receives National Honor

GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 1, 2016) – Micah Rea, a junior business administration major at Bob Jones University, has been selected to represent the state of South Carolina at the 64th Annual National Prayer Breakfast with the President of the United States. The breakfast takes place February 4 in Washington D.C.

Rea, a resident of Greenville, South Carolina, was selected from among 3,500 individuals in over 120 nations. Among these individuals will be royalty, members of the European Parliament; United Nations diplomats; European, Asian, African and Latin American politicians; religious leaders; and U.S. and foreign business leaders.

Rea was selected out of 80 student leaders around the world for this honor. Rea’s leadership experience includes representing BJU at the South Carolina Student Leadership Forums in 2015 and 2016. Rea, who has a minor in aviation, also serves as President of Upstate Aeronautics Association, an organization he helped found in the fall of 2014.

In addition to the National Prayer Breakfast, Rea will attend a student conference in Annapolis, Maryland, which will include keynote addresses by political leaders, group breakout sessions, panel discussions and more.
