Bob Jones University senior Marcos Aracena Vicente, a resident of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is completing a summer internship with Amazon in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, serving as an Operations Area Manager.
Aracena Vicente is responsible for key operational duties, including organizing incoming freight by priority, ensuring the correct use of safety equipment, and assisting in daily startup meetings. He also leads a project focused on improving warehouse efficiency and provides ongoing feedback to associates, gaining experience in directing and running operational shifts.
“This internship showed me how valuable education is in life,” said Aracena Vicente. “Pushing yourself to improve in life, obtain an education, and the desire to grow will take you places. Conformity and the bare minimum will hold you back from growing.”
As a Business Administration major at BJU, Aracena Vicente continues to develop the skills and leadership experience necessary for a successful career in operations management and logistics.
