Greenville, S.C. (October 30, 2013) – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named BJU Bruins women’s soccer midfielder Rebecca Luttrell as the NCCAA Player of the Week. Luttrell scored five goals for the women’s intercollegiate soccer team in three matches over the last week of competition.

“She has a tenacious spirit on the pitch and is both a playmaker and a dangerous player for other teams to deal with,” head coach Chris Carmichael said. “She has great field vision, quickness, technique and a nose for the goal that has turned her into a great target for our team.”

Luttrell, a senior math education major from Greenville, S.C., is the first intercollegiate player for the BJU Bruins to achieve the NCCAA Player of the Week designation.
